I am thinking about how we use history to explain current events. Do we run the risk of distorting History as Putin has done if we go back to Kievan Rus as our starting point? This is not intended as a criticism of Dr. Weller's interesting narrative of Kyiv's history. Does our selection of a starting date shape our interpretation of events or is there something inherently apolitical in our starting point while Putin's take is clearly political (and inaccurate)?

Dr. Roberto

As you know the Russians have proven very capable of successive cyber attacks upon U.S. infrastructures...I am surprised by the fact that Ukrainians have been able to decipher Russian encrypted military messages. Quest- Is there a great lack of communication between Cyber Russians and the Russion Military? If yes why?
